Assessment:
Emotional Competency Inventory 360°
Assessment.
This highly
acclaimed assessment evaluates a leader's Emotional Intelligence
strengths and gaps. This assessment allows an executive to receive
honest, useful feedback on the leadership skills that matter. It
will enable us to maximize the EI areas which are already strong and
additionally focus on areas where a gap exists between current abilities
and desired abilities.

Development:
Unapplied knowledge is just a collection of
interesting facts...
To be (or become) a truly Exceptional Leader, one
must apply these principles of effective leadership by changing one's
habits. Unlike technical concepts, which can be learned and applied
relatively quickly and easily, emotional concepts - concepts which may
require breaking of old habits and creating new ones - take time, consistent
effort and dedication to implement. In fact many of these habits
are so ingrained within us, that often we're not even aware of them.
This is where the power of Leadership Coaching comes into play.
By working with an Executive Coach, leaders
aspiring to higher levels of effectiveness gain an advantage over those
attempting change on their own. They have a partner in their
success, another set of eyes and ears, a sounding board and an executive
resource.

How
it Works:
Phase I - Knowledge Teaching and
discussion of the principles of Exceptional Leadership will take place via
weekly 45 minutes calls between the Client and the Coach.
Phase II - Assessment
The ECI 360° Assessment is administered
online. Results will be presented to the client
during an on-site visit and a development plan tailored to reflect the
insight gained from the assessment results.
Phase III - Development
A personalized plan of leadership development is co-created.
Old habits are broken and new ones created utilizing coaching calls designed to
build momentum for change and accountability. These
calls will occur weekly for the first five months (including
training), and will continue on a once a month basis during the six
months which follow. Optionally, coaching can be conducted in
person.
In addition to the scheduled coaching calls, two
on-site coaching visits will be made - one for the delivery of the
assessment results and one at eight months into the program. The
purpose of this second in-person visit is to shadow the executive in order
to better identify habits and refine skill sets. These on-site
visits can last from several hours up to a full day.

If an executive
wants more of an executive coaching engagement with less emphasis on
development, the education and assessment components are usually unnecessary.
In addition to the
above, executives working on
development and refinement of Executive Presence find Executive
Shadowing to be
helpful. Also, videotaping is an effective tool for improving
public speaking and presentation skills.
