#1 Leadership Challenge
From my experience and based on the results of a leadership poll conducted last year (www.xleaders.com) , people say the number one challenge with leaders isn't integrity... it's poor communication. It's the fact that most leaders either don't communicate effectively (they don't say what they really mean) or that they don't communicate at all. Any other thoughts and/or observations on this topic?

Leaders must possess a variety of qualities including intregrity, ethics, and awesome communication skills. However, where I differ in my views from yours is that many leaders do not have poor communication, merely poor methods for communicating. A leader may state what he/she really feels or thinks, however, it may not be in a "format" which is appealing to the masses (i.e. letter vs. direct communication). Therefore, it is evident leaders need to research and study his/her audience before making that leap of faith that he/she will be understood and received at the other end.
I am with you , so far this world is managed by communication, leaders who communincate and communicate rightly ie carry the right message to the appropriate audiance and at the right time do know brings expected results.
I firmly believe that lack of communication brings ineffectiveness in every relationship, which is very true in corporates where the individuals need to effectively drive their energies towards common goals..
If the organisations do not get the necessary results it may be due to somewhere something missing in communication hierarchy in the organisation.
Effective Organisations do execute all their Communication Strategies in alingment of their Organisational Goals to the Right Audiance at the Right Time to get the Right Results .

Isn't the method and manner of delivering the message part of how we communicate? When I say "poor communication", I am referring to both the message and the manner in which is delivered.
